These conspiracy theories have been swirling around the internet for ages, but worth taking notice when Boris’s sister thinks they might be influencing her normally mild-mannered bruv. That many of the  influential super-rich people who bankroll both Leave and the Conservatives could make a lot from hedge fund-type bets is one angle. The other is that the soon-to-be-fully-implementeed EU Anti Tax Avoidance Directive, which would be binned with No Deal, might hit them still harder. Whichever is the case, Xmas at the Johnson’s will make Game of Thrones look like Blue Peter!

Why did she/they (in the old sense) think that tinkering around with IHT and CGT would be enough to sort out the NHS; and the potholes; and…and the list goes on. My guess is  that they asked the Treasury for a list of anything not involving income tax that they could get away with lightly, although they should already have learned from the winter fuel stuff that all publicity is not good publicity.
