Not so many years ago, you could count the number ethical investment funds available on the fingers of a yoghurt-weaver’s fingerless gloves. Now they’re being launched so regularly by so many fund managers that they have to go the extra mile to get them noticed. While I’m sure The Big Issue (which, since reading ’A Streetcat Named Bob’, highly recommended, I always buy) are happy to take their money, this smacks, Standard Aberdeen Life, or whatever you’re now called, of gimmick and bandwagon. Cynical? Moi?
