I’m old enough to remember with misty eyes, the days when ‘Tory rebels’ were rebelling against, and not in favour of the EU and when we thought John Major (who now seems positively Churchillian) was a weak PM. Hey ho. My glass is remaining half-full, and I was delighted to read that over two thirds of financial services companies do not have firm plans to move out of the UK and that the number of of jobs likely to go as a result has fallen to just 10,500.
