Strangely, I’ve never met or spoken to a Trump supporter. Maybe, like some Brexiteers, they don’t travel abroad or talk to foreigners. Friends in the US were texting and Facebooking their angst then, last night, their delight at the eventual result and good luck to them. What does it all mean for us? A probable positive for stock markets, which prefer a somewhat more predictable office-holder. Not great for us, I’d say, as Biden’s on the ‘have you taken leave of your senses’ side on Brexit and, like many great people, has Irish roots. Rock on, Joe.
