I play a little game every Budget Day. I count the number of ‘Our Budget Summary’ emails I receive (it used to be glossy brochures in the post) and yesterday’s was a record 52! As an ethical and sustainable type, I’m pleased at the tree-saving. But really, marketing departments of the UK, dare to be different. How many do you think I/we actually read? Answer, the first couple to arrive. Who sent those? Haven’t a clue. So that didn’t work, either.
“Reeves backs down on plans to cut ISA limit”
So it looks as though Cash ISAs are safe for the moment (FTM – is that a thing?) Rachel has apparently ‘bowed to pressure’ from the banks and building societies and decided not to reduce the allowance to £4,000 for cash and to keep the £20,000 parity with Stocks and Shares ISAs. Bowed also to common sense, I’d say.
